Our Design & Engineering Services

The Mecsmart Systems Design & Engineering department works collaboratively to create automation designs that begin with our customer’s requirements and end with an efficient and thoughtfully designed result.

Concept & Application Planning

The Mecscmart Sales and Applications Team will work with you to provide the best concept to suit your application. In a joint and collaborative effort, we provide the most cost-effective solution, always keeping operator ergonomics, up-time and serviceability at the forefront of the design concept.

We believe in engaging our customers and encouraging them to stay involved throughout the project’s planning, design and build phases. This approach will ultimately give the customer confidence the equipment will perform to their needs and allow for smooth assembly starts.

Engineering

Our Engineering Team works closely with Sales and Applications team to ensure we meet customer needs. We develop a detailed process plan for every new job to refine the design intent further, which is then reviewed with our client before any work begins. Design reviews, internally with the engineering team and customer, help ensure that we develop concepts that meet our customer’s requirements throughout the design process.

We develop all machine concepts and final designs using Solidworks™ 3D solid modelling CAD software. All designs are presented in easy-to-understand layouts, allowing our clients to better understand how their needs are met.

All pneumatic / hydraulic & electrical schematics are created in-house, and a full set of documented assembly and detail drawings are provided after the completion of the job. We provide a detailed operations manual for each job that offers a spare parts lists, all vendor-supplied documentation, and maintenance and service requirements.

Electrical Panels & Controls

Mecsmart will design and build or build panels to your exact specifications that will meet all applicable electrical codes.

PLC, HMI, Servo, Robotic, I/O’s

Inclusive of our Mecsmart’s services, on request, we will perform: electrical design, and machine wiring and utilize our programming experience in Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi and Siemens.
